Our recent conversion to radio frequency identification (RFID) security tags has led to some big changes around the library! All library materials are now tagged with a microchip that communicates with the library's collection and security systems. This change has enabled us to offer three self-checkout stations for our patrons' convenience and has eliminated the need for due date cards in materials that are checked out. Instead, a receipt with due dates can either be printed or emailed following each transaction. We officially launched our new mobile app to coincide with the RFID conversion. The free app is easy to use and will allow patrons to monitor their account, renew items, search the catalog, and more. A short video tutorial of our new app and links to download can be found here.
Camden, Arkansas native, Beth Brickell will speak about the widely publicized 1957 Maud Crawford disappearance case. Brickell has written a series of journalistic articles and two books involving the case.
Her books will be available for purchase and autographing.
