We’re entering the dog days of summer, when news readership cools off right as the weather heats up. 

But it’s not just readers who are taking a vacation and pressing pause on their daily news habits.

Get help launching a local news business

Gabe from The Objective is one of 24 first-time entrepreneurs who used the inaugural GNI Startups Boot Camp to launch or grow a news business last year, and we’re now accepting applications for our second Boot Camp cohort. 

The Boot Camp is an eight-week crash course on how to build and launch a news business, offered for free to selected participants in partnership with the Google News Initiative.

🎉 Multiple LIONs participated in the Facebook Journalism Project's North American Accelerator that recently wrapped up. Participants will now use grants to launch new reader revenue projects such as membership.
