We’re entering the dog days of summer, when news readership cools off right as the weather heats up.

But it’s not just readers who are taking a vacation and pressing pause on their daily news habits.

In our latest episode of News Guest, we talk with The Objective’s Gabe Schneider and Janelle Salanga about their decision to pause publication this summer as part of their plan to scale up as an organization

It's not the first time a LION member has taken a break from publishing new content, and after the long year it's been, we're now hearing from more publishers who are at least considering it.

You can listen to the episode and subscribe to News Guest on SpotifyApple Podcasts, or wherever you do your streaming.

Got questions about The Objective’s decision to take a summer break or how they’re using it to catch their breath and focus on strengthening the business and operations side of their organization?

Join us for an “Ask Me Anything” chat on Friday, July 16 at 9am PT in the News Entrepreneur Community Slack group, or share your questions in advance here.
