We are fundraising for the purchase of the final 2500 bales of the Donkeys Winter Hay.  We are pleased that we have been able to raise over $10,000.00 towards the cost of Hay but we still short of funds for the hay.  You are invited to come for Breakfast with the Donkeys and to Welcome George and his friends to their new Barn.

Bring a friend or two with you as admission is free, and we want everyone to get an opportunity to visit with and learn about the donkeys!
The building of the George/Mule Barn has been a 2 year project of fundraising and planning and we are really going to Shout for Joy when we all see George finally coming home along with his new friends.  THIS IS THE EVENT that you will not want to miss as we Celebrate with George at his Homecoming.....Finally.
Pumpkin Spice Update...
Little Pumpkin Spice one of our new Barn kittens fractured her pelvic bone a week ago and has been confined to bed rest while it healed.  Pumpkin's best friend Butternut was so lonely and she let everyone know that she wasn't happy about not being able to get in the pen area with Pumpkin.  We are happy to announce that Pumpkin is now feeling better and both kittens are back to being the lively selves in the barn.
Donkey Hugs to...
We are always most appreciative with all the young folks who stop by with gifts and donations for the support of the Donkeys.  These  caring youths collect bottles, sell Iced Tea, raffle and take donations in lieu gifts at their Birthday Parties.  A true sign of a loving heart as they Give of Themselves to Care for others.
Donkeys Hugs to all of YOU.
This summer we also introduced our special Donkey Ear Hats - here they are crafted and worn with pride by kids and adults who went home with one more warm memory of their visit.
Meeting the donkeys changes peoples lives and makes a better life for all donkeys as folks learn more about these wonderful and deserving members of the equine world.
Siska Update, Hay & More...
Siska's new antibiotics seem to be clearing up her infection that is the result of someone fracturing her skull before she arrived at the Refuge.   We love you Siska and we are so happy you are getting better.  Thank you for everyone's kind wishes!
Still need Winter Hay - we are so grateful for all our Hay Donors and we hope you will consider becoming one of them.
Every bale counts!
