February is a Celebration for Best Friends!
Our Donkeys enjoy the treasured pleasure of staying with their Best Friends Forever.
Ollie and Stormy are best friends and they can be seen sharing their meals and enjoying play time with each other throughout the day.  But more importantly they enjoy the security of knowing that their best friend is always there for their comfort and support during any situation.
If you wish to sponsor a donkey to celebrate Valentines Day and the love of your new Best Donkey Friend then please visit our website
or email
where your donation will assist with the care of Your New Forever Donkey Best Friend.

Can You Help? Quality Time Volunteers Needed

Our Quality Time Volunteer Program is very important to the welfare of the donkeys.  A QT Volunteer is someone who volunteers one day a week to come out and brush, cuddle and walk their specific donkeys.  This Quality time is something that the donkeys look forward to

and it is a commitment that should not be taken lightly.  If you have some equine experience and you would like to work with the donkeys to enhance their week with love and human interaction then please visit our website at www.turtlevalleydonkeyrefuge.com/volunteer for a Volunteer Application Form.  Some criteria does apply.  Limited Spots Available.  We welcome your support of the donkeys.

Bessie is recouping nicely from a slip on the ice where she bruised her knee.  She has been moved into one of the mini herds with her friend Buddy.  We have already seen good improvement with her knee as the mini herd provides her with a calm and quiet place to heal from her injury.  In the future once we have raised the funds needed to build our New Infirmary Bessie would then be able to go into the Infirmary with her special friend and do her healing in a warm large stall where her comfort and happiness is ensured.  It is our hope that we will raise the funds needed to commence the Donkey Infirmary in 2015.
