Thank you Barn Donors!
We are so proud to post our Donor Recognition Board to thank all the Donors that helped build Barn #1.  The Barn is Paid in Full and housing over 60 donkeys in a very safe and healthy home.   The design has proved to be successful as the donkeys always have a choice to be where they are most comfortable no matter the time of year and in any kind of weather.

We wish to thank all of you who do so much to help these donkeys in need.  Your support makes such a great difference in their lives.
Be very proud of how your donations change these donkeys lives as we feel very proud to call you our Friends of the Donkeys.

Hoof Health Update
At this time we are experiencing an increase of Hoof Abscesses in the donkeys. Their hooves are very susceptible to abscesses and the donkey will have to endure terrible pain until the abscess bursts through the hoof and releases the infection.  We are treating donkeys all the time for the pain as well as soaking and wrapping their hooves to encourage the abscess to drain.
Mandy doesn't love her soaking boot foot treatment, but it will help her recover faster.

If you would like to help with the costs of these hoof treatments you can visit our Donkey Refuge Website and donate to help the donkeys who are suffering with sore feet.
The girls in this photo  are encouraging Mandy to put her hoof in the foot bath of water and Epsom's salts.

Mandy wasn't to keen on that idea.
