The Forever Home
By Jodi Kenney
We’ve moved six times in the 13 years we’ve been married, and have another move on the horizon. This aspect of our military life is not for the faint of heart, but it draws us near to God again and again. Throughout the years and moves, one of the things I’ve held fast to is our ‘forever home.’ Click here to read Jodi's, "The Forever Home."
What's Happening at MCC

Shine Opportunity! Churches across Albuquerque are being invited to participate in a new initiative. APS is cooking and delivering Thanksgiving meals to families recognized as “food insecure” at schools across the city.  A meal for a family of four costs $40.  Schools with Shine volunteers will be given priority, as we will have volunteers to help distribute the meals However, we have to let APS know how many meals we would like to donate by Monday, September 17!  If you would like to donate a meal or give toward a meal for a family, please let Ashley Procter know TODAY!

MCC has a long-standing relationship with Food for the Hungry in Sucre, Bolivia. We are in the planning stages of our 2019 FH Mission Trip and would love to invite you to join us if you have a heart to serve and build relationships. The first informational meeting is this Sunday, September 16th after 2nd service in Youth Room. Food will be provided. Contact Jennifer Ward to learn more!

We are looking for a leader for our Prayer Chain Ministry.  If you are interested, please contact the office. Thank you!

Ladies! Please join us for Sips & Salads on Wednesday, September 19th at 6:00 p.m.!  Lou Ann Hunt will teach us how to make thank you cards so we can express our gratitude to the people the Lord has placed in our lives!  RSVP to Elizabeth and let her know what salad or dessert you can bring.

We are looking for a Lead Tech. This person would be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, maintaining equipment, and working with the musicians. In some seasons, this could take more time than others, and we are considering making this a paid part-time position. Contact Elizabeth for more information.

Meet Simona Derr!
You might have met Simona when you bring your babies
to the Nursery some Sunday mornings.
Simona is also one of the gifted photographers who
captures some of the special celebrations here.

We wanted to take a moment and celebrate her!
