Friends & Colleagues,
I wanted to share with you this year’s Annual Report highlighting the Federation of American Scientists’ impact across science, technology, and policy. You can read the full version here.
But, here’s the TL;DR:
-
Through FAS’ Day One Project, we have created a community of contributors developing promising policy ideas from the science, innovation, and tech communities. To date, 200+ policy memos have been published by more than 350 contributors, and we continue to drive their implementation, like the newly funded Advanced Research Projects Agency-Health (ARPA-H).
-
The Nuclear Information Project, which broke readership records this year, continued to produce the best non-classified overviews of the status and development of global nuclear weapon arsenals.
-
Since March 2021, our Talent Hub placed 52 expert fellows in the federal government to deliver on the promises of evidence-based, expert-backed policy
-
Our team brokered the deal that cemented many of the policies, programs, funding targets, and appropriated funds established in the historic CHIPS and Science Act.
Please make a gift to FAS today – every day is a day to champion evidence based policy making. We can’t do this without a broader community of support.
With Gratitude,

– Dan Correa
