KASIH DEATH CAFE
in conjuction of World Hospice & Palliative Care Day
We had successfully conducted six Death Cafes on every Saturday in the month of October 2021, with the first ever Death Cafe for Pets (English), Malay & Tamil editions in Malaysia. We had also a wonderful Death Cafe experience with with our PCU Volunteers on October 14, (Thursday) evening. Kasih Hospice Foundation in collaboration with Death Cafe Malaysia has organized a special edition Death Cafe Facilitator Training on 6/11/2021 (Saturday), conducted by Ms Catherine Ooi. This training enables the public to learn how to set up their own Death Cafe in any language, as well as understand the core principles, philosophies and do and donts of facilitating a death cafe.
CHARITY ART SALE
~ by leprosy patients from Valley of Hope, Sungai Buloh
In the recent fundraising event "Hope of Giving 5.0" held solely for the purpose of supporting the work of Kasih Hospice Foundation, a total of 156 pieces of paintings have been sold and a total sum of RM80,000 has been collected for the time being. This is indeed an amazing achievement!

Despite their poor eyesight and physical defects, the resident artist have, all for the support of hospice and palliative care, painstakingly completed all the paintings for the fundraising event. We were extremely touched by their determination, and within us our utmost respect for them spontaneously arose. All have put in so much of love, compassion and even bodhicitta into the paintings, thereby allowing them to naturally emit an unparalleled beauty that holds us in awe.
Words of thanks are never enough to express our gratitude for the sincerest efforts in producing the paintings and all the supporters to make the fundraising event a resounding success. Your altruistic and unconditional support that constitue an enormous driving force that will keep us on our toes to always do our best in providing our services to the patients and their families. And that is indeed our responsibility and mission.
