Greetings from Shiro Oni Studio、
With the summer music festival just around the corner, July in Onishi is one of the most exciting times of year. Every evening from 7 to 10 pm, the town comes to life with the sound of drums as the 5 neighborhoods practice for the 2-day event on July 12 and 13.
Our neighborhood, Aio-Cho, has kindly invited Shiro Oni artists and staff to join their practice sessions. Its been a pleasure sharing this experience with both new and old friends, and we're all looking forward to the festival.
Over the festival weekend we will have hold an open studio, a macha-cafe and an after-party at the Kinuya building.
We hope you will join us all in the festivities. Wa-shoi, Wa-shoi!
