Tt Community Mentors,
Happy February! The month of returning light and celebrating our friends on Valentine's Day. This month I have some ideas for meeting in person, and virtually. Check out the Jaquith Library for 2 outside offerings that are covid safe.

It is also Black History Month so I am including an online performance you can with with your mentee. Also, a reminder that school vacation week is February 21st till the end of the month.

Thanks for being part of the Tt Mentoring Family. Please be in touch any time for any support and just to chat!

Remote Ideas:
  • This Tuesday: Attend a virtual Trivia night with other mentoring pairs in Vermont. (details below)
  • Make pop-up Valentines Cards.  I will make small packets for kids to take home so they can make cards. I can also bring a packet of materials to you! You can set up a time to zoom and work on the cards at the same time. Here is one simple idea, but you can find other online.
  • Pick a special recipe to make together. Set up a zoom call and cook or bake something at the same time (I can get ingredients to your mentee as needed).
  • Send a text or email hello - keep it short and sweet, with a specific question they can respond back with. Try a joke!
  • Tea Time. Set up a phone call or zoom time that you can have tea with your mentee. Chat or read a book together.
  • Check out the arts and building kits - and pick one you want to do together. I will figure out a way to split the kit so you both have what you need. You can set a few zoom dates to finish the project. (see below) - We had one pair try one this month (see picture above)
Email Sarah@mentorvt.org for the zoom link to the Trivia Game!
