Tt School Based Mentors,
Happy National Mentoring Month! I hope you all received the $5 gift card to fox market as a very small token of thanks! You can buy yourself a delicious treat or use it towards any purchase in their store. If you have not been in yet, check it out, it is a great place. Also, they are donating all their tips this month to TtMP in honor of National Mentoring Month!

Due to the surge in cases all across Vermont, we have cancelled all in school mentoring for at least the next few weeks:( If you are a community member, I can help set up a zoom meeting with your mentee (if this is something you want to do). We can also do a pen pal program with old fashioned letters if zoom is not ideal for you or your mentee. If you are a school employee, and you want to meet with your mentee in person, let's talk about what this would look like.

Not an ideal celebration of mentoring this month. But this too shall pass, and it is best to air on the side of caution. We do have some other highlights about mentoring month below - so keep reading!
Thanks for being part of the Tt Mentoring Family.
Please be in touch any time for any support and just to chat!

Peer Leadership Project in Honor of MLK!
Two High School Students are organizing this event all month. If you have items to donate, you can drop them off at the school, or coordinate a pick-up or alternate drop off location with Pam.

Send me a response to one of these prompts, and your name will be entered to win 1 of 10 rotisserie chickens from Fox Market!

  • Mentoring is important because…..
  • I am a mentor….
  • Mentoring amplifies…..
  • My mentee….
  • Mentoring Strengthens our community.....
  • Send in your own thoughts about mentoring !!! (in words or a short video clip)
  • Take a voice recording of yourself on your phone, and text the file to 802-272-6323
(we hope to share your quotes to "Amplify Mentoring" this month!)
Come on....tell us what you think.....don't be chicken :)

Talking about race and racism can be difficult — especially with children, but that does not mean we shouldn’t have these conversations. This 2-part program is for all people concerned about the impact of racism and/or white privilege on children. Learn tools to discuss these issues with children in a meaningful and age-appropriate way through resources, discussion, and role-playing. Presented by Hal Colston and Rachel Siegel of the Peace & Justice Center and sponsored by Alchemist Foundation! Please contact Program@PJCVT.org with questions about the event.
Participants are expected to attend all sessions (1/12 & 1/19) and complete assignments between sessions unless granted permission in advance from the facilitators.
