Funding News

Detailed below are just a few of the funding opportunities currently available. There are lots more at the KCVS website!

The PH Holt Foundation supports charities which aim to make Merseyside a better place to live, particularly smaller grass roots organisations that find it difficult to attract funds.

To be considered for funding, your activity should meet at least one of their priority themes:

  • Creating opportunities for people to contribute to their local community
  • Enabling people to overcome barriers and take control over their lives
  • Widening access to education for people of all ages
  • Increasing engagement in the arts for marginalised or excluded groups
  • Encouraging care of the natural and built environment
The next deadline for applications is 1 August 2016. To find out more visit PH Holt

The Henry Smith Charity has announced that their Holiday Grant for Children Programme has re-opened for applications.

Through the programme, schools, youth groups and not for profit organisations can apply for grants towards holidays or outings within the UK for children aged 13 and under who are from deprived areas or have a disability.

The maximum grant is usually £2,500 for any one trip. Grants are normally limited to a maximum of two-thirds of the total cost of a trip as the charity would expect some local partnership funding to be in place. Activities will need to take place between the 1st July – 31st August 2016.

Applications can be made at any time until the 22nd July 2016. For further information please visit The Henry Smith Charity.

The Foundation specialises in supporting organisations helping children and families as well as the elderly, disabled and socially isolated. They will consider any work which has a positive effect on their welfare and quality of life, or which expands the opportunities and life choices for young people in the region.

Grants may be considered for a range of purposes and could include:

  • Single awards for capital projects
  • Ongoing running costs for specific projects
  • Multi-year revenue grants for core funding
  • Standard and wheelchair accessible minibuses are offered under their Smiley Bus scheme
Before completing an application, you are advised to telephone for an informal chat.
