THE BIRDS ARE COMING!
DROP IN FOR CHOWDER & POPOVERS

Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

RABBIT HILL FARM

148 Barbour Farm Road

Stonington, Maine

Enjoy treetop birding at Rabbit Hill, an Emily Muir designed cottage with expansive views of Rabbit Island and Crockett Cove.  Dine on Cheryl Wixson's Kitchen Clam Chowder made with Crockett Cove hen clams, handcrafted Barbour Farm organic cider, and hot popovers served with Strawberry Rhubarb, Spiced Peach Butter or Wild Blueberry jams.

Bring the whole family for lunch, then to hike to shore, or explore the adjacent Crockett Cove Woods Preserve.  Watch the eagles fly by and use binoculars to focus on the osprey fishing in the cove.  Listen for warblers and the drum roll of the pileated woodpecker.

Directions to Rabbit Hill Farm: Take Route 15 onto the island of Deer Isle and proceed to Deer Isle village. As you pass the red house and go down the hill, turn right off Route15 onto Main Street. The Deer Isle Post office and the Pilgrim’s Inn will be on your left. Drive south toward Stonington for 4.2 miles. Turn right onto Barbour Farm Road, a dirt road.  Keep left and follow 1 mile to the end and up the hill.  Drop-off passenger area and handicap parking only are available on the hill.  This is a private road and parking is limited.  Please drive slowly, and plan to park and walk.
