There's under one week to go until National Carers Week and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend is right around the corner, too (Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June).

As the Queen enters her 70th year, and as we have entered our 30th year, t
here's certainly a celebratory feel in the air!

Please scroll down to see the latest calendar of Sutton events, and links to the Platinum Jubilee events taking place across the Borough.

We are excited to share with you all the latest events for Carers Week, including
NEW: the Carers Trusts and Carers UK virtual event with the Minister for Care, Gillian Keegan, MP; the Creative Carers Session hosted by the Brain & Spine Foundation; and the Guides Carers Week Talk, delivered by our CEO, Rachael MacLeod and Young Carer Ambassador, Heather Grover.

We also hope to see many of you at our Tuesday 'Wellbeing Open House' day and evening, at the creative display in the Civic Library, and at the Mayoral Reception on Monday...and more!

All Carers Week events are free!

What are you planning to do this Carers Week?

We'd love to hear from you, our local Carer partners, and organisations who support Carers.

Perhaps you could run a staff networking event for employees who juggle their paid jobs alongside their caring roles, to make them aware of the support available to them - or even run a training course for staff to help them better understand and identify unpaid Carers in their everyday roles.

There's still time to let us know your plans by emailing chiara@suttoncarerscentre.org.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!

For the latest information, please keep an eye on our Twitter @SuttonCarers, Facebook @SuttonCarersCentre, YouTube @SuttonCarersCentre and Instagram @suttonyoungcarers, and our website: www.suttoncarerscentre.org/carers-week. Volunteers' Week 2022
Today marks the start of Volunteers' Week (1st - 7th June). This annual celebration offers an opportunity for organisations to recognise the incredible contributions that volunteers make to our communities. Some of our team took a moment to create a short video thanking our volunteers for everything that they do to help us reach and support unpaid Carers. Please scroll down to watch the video.

Team members, Mandy and Vicky, joined our
friends from Volunteer Centre Sutton during their 'drop in' session today (1st June) at the Sound Lounge to share information on our volunteering opportunities.

Please visit our website here to view our current volunteering roles. For more information on Volunteer Centre Sutton, please click here.
