Introducing the GEM Report!

The Global Education Monitoring Report is born

From today, we are formally changing our name to become the GEM Report: the Global Education Monitoring Report. This change reflects the Report’s new mandate to monitor progress towards the international education targets until 2030 as outlined in the Framework for Action 2030.

The Report will continue as an editorially independent, authoritative, and evidence-based annual report published by UNESCO. Drawing on a well-tested model and 12 years accumulated experience, it will continue to serve as an invaluable global resource and advocacy tool, promoting informed dialogue and increasing public awareness about progress and challenges in education.

Please help ensure our new name is communicated to your networks so that the reputation of the GMR flows smoothly across to the GEM
Report.

Share your views - #EducationWeWant

To celebrate our new Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report name and logo, we are launching a new campaign, #EducationWeWant. We want to know which of the seven education targets supporting the global education goal are most important to you.

Countries will need to decide which of the 169 targets in the Sustainable Development Agenda they’re going to prioritise in their national plans. Help them do so, by selecting which three of the education targets you think should be prioritised in your country. The seven bars in our new logo will change to reflect the popularity of the votes around the world.

Let us know which you put first and help get as many people as possible to give us their views by sharing on Facebook and Twitter using #EducationWeWant and @GEMReport.

New Spanish blog
We’ve just launched a new blog - the "Blog de la Educación Mundial" - for our Spanish speaking audience in Latin America and the Caribbean and elsewhere. It will contain posts with exclusive content specific to the LAC region. Please help spread the word among your networks.
