Shift Your Family Business                                                                                                     December 2015
Tip of the Month:
December is a great time of the year for many people, because most of us see more members of our family over the holidays. And because the year is winding down, it is also a good time to look back at this year, and start thinking about the next one.
Do you have a plan for how you can work on creating better family harmony next year? You don't have to try to make everything wonderful all in one shot, but if you can try to move things to a slightly better place, the holidays are an opportune time to start.  Is there a misunderstanding that needs to be cleared up, or an apology that needs to be made that could help?
Small moves like these don't cost anything, and can make a difference and start moving in the right direction.  Take the high road, be the "bigger person", and by all means, NO BLAMING.

What's new:

I am in the process of reworking my entire online presence, including re-purposing the website,, which will now be the focal point for all of the content that I produce.
There will be a transition period during which I get up to speed on actually implementing all of the changes my tech people are working on behind the scenes, but everything should be up and running in January.
Speaking of January, I all be returning to the 4th Annual Global Family Enterprise Case Competition at UVM,  to serve as a  judge for the third year in a row.  It is a great event, and if you know anyone who would like to help out as a sponsor, please let me know and I will point you in the right direction!
