ONE WEEK LEFT TO APPLY for the Kids to Parks Day National School Contest! Help your classroom or after-school club fund a dream park trip of your own design. Your class can win up to $1,000 to take learning outside, explore new outdoor recreation opportunities, and give back to your local park with a fun stewardship project.

Thanks to support from Hydro Flask’s “Parks for All” Charitable Giving Program and First Solar Corporate Charitable Fund, National Park Trust will provide thousands of Title I students (pre K through 12th grade) with free park trips.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Thursday, February 14, 2019!

Have you ever felt small in a park? Hoover Elementary (CA) visited Muir Woods National Monument where they were dwarfed by one of the only old-growth coastal redwood forests in the world. Find out what the students smelled in the forest and the important role it plays. Thank you to the Wyss Foundation for making this trip possible!

Buddy Bison Student Ambassador Tigran Nahabedian recently journeyed to Seattle, WA for the Northwest Youth Leadership Summit, where he met other kids like him who want a career to support parks and public lands. He even trained on a course where the first American to summit Mt. Everest learned to climb! Can you name who that is?
