New Mass Schedule
Second Sunday of the month at 12:00 noon
We have been celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass for one full year now at our current location of St. John's in Bellefonte; and, to mark the occasion, we have a major announcement of a new Mass time! As Fr. Cyprian previously explained from the pulpit, we are now planning to celebrate Mass on the Second Sunday of each month, at noon, instead of the First Saturday evening. These Sunday Masses will begin on March 12.
The schedule change is motivated by input we have heard from many of our regular attendees, who considered late Saturday evening to be an inconvenient Mass time — for example, because of young children's bed time, or because of the need to drive long distances after dark. We are grateful to our pastor, Fr. Jakopac, for readily agreeing to the new schedule, and also to the Prior of St. Vincent Archabbey, Fr. Earl Henry, O.S.B., for agreeing to send Fr. Cyprian on Sundays. Finally, as always, we are grateful to Fr. Cyprian for all of his efforts and long hours on the road, to bring us the treasures of this ancient and timeless form of Mass.
We hope the new schedule will be convenient for most of you, and we always welcome any feedback you may have. Thank you for all of your prayers and support for this apostolate!
