We're so close to the end of March! The sunshine and clear skies are almost within reach, just a few more weeks until we can (hopefully) enjoy the warm weather again. Don't lose heart, RCAH!

Learn about the music, art, and culture by studying abroad this summer! You will live with host families in the gorgeous town of Bregenz, situated near the shores of Lake Constance. You can swim in the lake each day after class, take a walk along the waterfront, hike in the city and explore Bregenz! The 7 credit program takes place during the second session (summer term) in July 2023. There is still room for this study abroad that multiple RCAH students have taken and enjoyed in the past!

Academics:
  1. In support of students’ well-being, the interim provost has asked faculty to “modify assignments and adjust test schedules and due dates to support students.” 
  2. Resources in support of teaching after a crisis are being developed and will be shared on this #iteachmsu playlist. Please check back throughout the week. 
Housing:
  1. Housing sign-up for the 2023-24 academic year will continue as planned in March. It's okay if your plans may have been affected, or your feelings about where you would like to live may have changed. Please take the next couple weeks to explore your options, speak with the Housing Assignments Office team and prepare for 2023-24 On-Campus Housing Sign-Up.

The Autistic Self Advocacy Network is now accepting applications for the 2023 Autism Campus Inclusion (ACI) Leadership Academy. ACI helps autistic students learn to make their college campuses better for people with disabilities. ACI participants learn about making student groups, understanding disability policy, and talking to people in power.

Important Campus Safety Updates


Starting Monday, March 13, many buildings on campus will require ID key card access between 6 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Be sure to carry that ID with you, Spartans.

The RCAH Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CDEI) is hosting a town hall meeting geared towards POC in the College. There will be discussions of conditions, challenges, and concerns with DEI, from class to extra curriculars. Discussion will be led by student CDEI members with support from faculty on the committee. "We want to hear from you! We need to hear from you in order to make change, advocate, and create the environment you want to see." Questions? Contact Vincent Delgado.

Worms Are A Girl's Best Friend

When not in RCAH, junior Grace Feather likes to spend her time in the horticultural sciences among plants, flowers, and... worms! Here's Grace on her favorite little friends: "These are my 30 vermicomposting worms! They are working hard turning my food waste into yummy compost for my plants. I got these 30 worms at Meijer for 5 dollars and drilled some holes into a clean coffee container I had so they could get some air! It’s so fun to watch them squiggle around!"
