Knowledge is Power
Hard to believe another growing season is winding down. There's plenty of time left, especially with the lingering mild fall weather, to continue harvesting, cultivating fall crops and enjoying all that autumn in New England has to offer. With a target date of Labor Day to start new lawns from seed, or refurbish existing turf,
warm soils and dewy nights make this the best time of year to pursue the "perfect" lawn, or at least establish a presentable swath of green to showcase your carefully tended gardens. Fall is an ideal time to continue planting trees, shrubs, and perennials, since
all of a plant's energies are directed to the rooting-in process. True, varietal selections are more limited, but existing stock thrives under the watchful eye of our nurserymen, is enhanced by the addition of some new arrivals, and bolstered by the continued offerings
of our affiliate e-commerce supplier bowerandbranch.com

Lastly, if "knowledge is power," then a visit to Corliss Brothers to discuss all things plant related with our staff, will enhance that knowledge base and lead to an ever-increasing success rate with planting and maintaining your own specimens.

Drop by our newest
