On 21 January, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) hosted the Employers’ Luncheon 2015 to boost the University’s links with the industrial and corporate world and to provide an opportunity for graduating students to meet with employers from all sectors. The Honourable Andrew Liao Cheung-sing, Senior Counsel, was invited to deliver a keynote speech in the event.
20 undergraduates from the BBA and BCom Programmes of the School of Business showcased their creative energy during the luncheon, by displaying attractive and vibrant display boards they designed to participating employers.
BBA student Vicki Ho from the Accounting Concentration commented that, the function was a perfect opportunity for her to brush up her networking and presentation skills before graduation. Sitting among the luminaries at the head table, Vicki had the chance to mingle with, among others, top executives from Hong Kong Electric and MTR Corporation, giving her the unique opportunity to gain insights into public utility industry.
