Students Get Involved in HKBU’s Employers’ Luncheon 2015    
On 21 January, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) hosted the Employers’ Luncheon 2015 to boost the University’s links with the industrial and corporate world and to provide an opportunity for graduating students to meet with employers from all sectors. The Honourable Andrew Liao Cheung-sing, Senior Counsel, was invited to deliver a keynote speech in the event. 

20 undergraduates from the BBA and BCom Programmes of the School of Business showcased their creative energy during the luncheon, by displaying attractive and vibrant display boards they designed to participating employers. 

BBA student Vicki Ho from the Accounting Concentration commented that, the function was a perfect opportunity for her to brush up her networking and presentation skills before graduation. Sitting among the luminaries at the head table, Vicki had the chance to mingle with, among others, top executives from Hong Kong Electric and MTR Corporation, giving her the unique opportunity to gain insights into public utility industry.
Alumni Talk on Stress and Diet
Coping with stress is an essential topic for everyone, especially so for business professionals. On 21 Jan, HKBU MBA Alumni Association organised the first seminar of the “You Are What You Eat” Seminar Series to explore the relationship between stress and diet. 
New Year Celebration Dinner at Shenzhen
The MBA Shenzhen class hosted a New Year Celebration Dinner on 10 Jan 2015. The dinner attracted over 240 professors, students and alumni. “Inheritance, Harmony and Innovation” was the main theme of the dinner. A series of performance, including dancing, singing and Chinese comic dialogue, was conducted to showcase the theme.
First Toastmaster Club Meeting 2015
The School of Business Toastmasters Club held its first meeting of 2015 on 21 Jan.  The meeting attracted a great turn-out of business students. A table topics session with the theme of "New Year Wish" was held for the participants to practice their public speaking and presentation skills.
Incoming Study Tour from Shenzhen
MBA students from Shenzhen University joined a two-day study visit to Hong Kong as part of their MBA programme on 19-20 Jan 2015.  IIBD arranged a seminar on talent management and visits to Hong Kong's renowned companies to enhance their understandings of their operations.
DBA Annual Gathering
The annual DBA gathering was held on 10 Jan 2015 at a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, with the participation of 40 DBA supervisors, graduates and students. It provided a valuable opportunities for the students and supervisors to mingle and share their experience of ups and downs encountered during the DBA journey.
