The 5th Induction Ceremony of the HKBU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma Society
HKBU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma Society (BGS) inducted 71 new members at its 5th Induction Ceremony on April 25. At the ceremony, the School of Business conferred upon Mr. Bernard Wu, Chief Executive Officer of Qianhai SAR Private Equity Investment (Shenzhen) Limited, the Beta Gamma Sigma Honoree Award in honour of his significant accomplishments in both business and the community. 

In his welcoming remarks, Professor Allan Chan, Associate Vice-President of HKBU, Interim Dean of School of Business and President of BGS HKBU Chapter, congratulated all new student members for their outstanding achievements. He also encouraged new members to widen their horizons and connections through the vast global network of BGS.

Mr. Bernard Wu shared the stories of his active involvements in student societies and extra-curricular activities while studying at HKBU and illuminated on the current business environment and latest developments in Qianhai. 
BBA students awarded 2nd runner-up in Enactus China Regional Competition
A team formed by 4 BBA students and 3 other HKBU students won 2nd runner-up award at the Enactus China Regional Competition on 14 April 2015. The award-winning project “Hoolove Box” is an online care-package-order platform employing socially vulnerable groups.

Toastmaster Club Joint University Contest
The Joint University International and Table Topic Speech Contest of Toastmaster Club Division O was held at HKBU on 18 Apr. 11 contestants from 4 universities took the opportunity to practice their public speaking skills, while delivering some of the best speeches that enthralled the audiences.
Students fair promotes responsible consumption
Students from the course -  Socially Responsible Marketing - set up eight booths at a fair called "Re-consumption" at the Li Promenade on campus on 15 Apr 2015. The fair aimed at providing the students with  a chance to apply their classroom knowledge and to raise students' awareness on responsible consumption.
Oracle executive speaks to our students
Mr. Jason Miao, Principle, Oracle Global IT, delivered a sharing session on 16 Apr to business students. In an interactive Q&A mode, he revealed the company culture and talent recruitment requirement of Oracle.
Stay Connected - Department of Marketing Annual Dinner
Over 70 students, alumni, faculty and staff members attended the Department of Marketing Annual Dinner 2015 on 17 Apr 2015. With the theme of "Stay Connected", it provided a valuable opportunity for migling and meeting new and old friends.

Visit of delegations from overseas / mainland universities
Delegations from IÉSEG School of Management from France, University of Kent from UK and Sun Yat-sen University from Guangzhou visited the School of Business to exchange ideas and to explore research and academic collaboration opportunities.
