It's been a very busy few months since my last newsletter. I have seen lots of amazing clients in the treatment room and I am often inspired and humbled by their stories and the journeys their lives have taken them on.

I have completed an advanced Facial Reflexology course adding some additional techniques to this amazingly relaxing and beneficial  treatment.

I also learnt a wonderful new technique called Vertical Reflex Therapy which is proving particularly beneficial for those with muscular and joint issues. Taking just 5 minutes at the start of a treatment,
reflexes are worked from the top of the foot and the hand at the same time while you put pressure on the reflex from a standing position, effectively working the reflex three ways at once.

And on top of this, I've also written, and am delivering, my own course on Marketing for Complementary Therapists which I've had some great feedback on. If you know anyone who you think might be interested in completing the course please direct them to my website
Spotlight on Indian Head Massage
Based on the Ayurvedic system of medicine, massage techniques are applied to the back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp and face to relieve stress and tension throughout the whole body. I combine my treatments with subtle facial pressure points called marma points to stimulate energy flow in the body.

This is a deeply relaxing treatment and even in a seated position you are able to drift away while your head remains fully supported. Indian Head Massage can help alleviate the symptoms of any stress-related condition and is particularly effective in relieving muscular tension in the head, neck and shoulders and reducing emotional stress. It’s energy balancing effects can improve poor sleep patterns and help with the symptoms of sinusitis and tinnitus. Scalp massage improves circulation to the head, encouraging hair growth and improving the condition of the hair.

One of my clients commented "Having been to Rosie several times for reflexology treatments, and more recently for Indian head massage, I can highly recommend her as a therapis
t. I thoroughly enjoy Rosie's reflexology treatments and find it incredible that a massage to my feet can leave my whole body feeling so relaxed and give me such a feeling of general well-being. The Indian head massage sessions left me feeling so relaxed that I even nodded off a couple of times during a treatment. Rosie's caring and professional manner make it very easy to relax and fully appreciate the expert treatment she gives."  Nikki
Focus on Stress

The everyday demands of work, family and money can leave you feeling under pressure. These pressures can leave you feeling unable to cope.

Stress can affect you in many ways. You may find it difficult to sleep, feel irritable and experience headaches, have difficulty concentrating and be constantly worrying about things in your head.

When you are stressed your body releases a surge of hormones to deal with these pressures - 'the fight or flight response'. Once the pressure has passed your stress hormone levels return to normal. However, if you are constantly under pressure, these hormones will remain in your body at a heightened level.

You can manage your stress levels with regular exercise, time management, mindfulness meditation and relaxation techniques. This is where reflexology and indian head massage treatments come in.

Reflexology and Indian Head Massage gently relax your body and clear your mind, allowing your hormone and stress levels to balance naturally.
