Need a good resolution for the new year? Submit a 2020 scientific proposal

New year...and a new opportunity to actively improve your career by highlight your research to the scientific community. Submit your proposal for the EUROTOX 2020 Congress taking place in Copenhagen, September 6-9, 2020.

This year’s theme is “Toxicology of the next generation – combined efforts in quest of safer chemicals and medicines”. It reflects our desire to address topics dealing with advances in science, emerging technologies, as well as next generation toxicology testing platforms to ensure innovative ways to evaluate the safety of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and materials. Submissions in line with this theme are strongly encouraged.

We urge all Individual Members, Member Societies, Speciality Sections, SubCommittees and Corporate Members, as well as scientific and industry partners to contribute. Only a common united effort will guarantee a high quality and diverse programme and keep our annual congress a reference point for the toxicologists not only in Europe but also internationally.

We also urge you to support and encourage young scientists in your sessions since taking part in symposia and workshops is still an important activity to help develop their scientific and professional skills.

Please prepare and submit your proposals following the guidelines and official form both found in our website. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2019.

Help us recognise scientific excellence

Support the recognition of outstanding professionals in toxicology by nominating candidates for these two awards. Contact your national societies (the list is found in our website) to nominate professionals that you believe have made scientific contributions and should be recognised for their professional excellence in toxicology.

The award recipient will be required to present the lecture two times; the first time during the EUROTOX congress, and then the following year during the SOT annual congress.

See the official call here. The deadline for submission is January 30, 2019

UMIL offers Master Degree in “Safety Assessment of Xenobiotics and Biotechnological Products”

The course (entirely taught in English) will provide the relevant chemical, biochemical, biotechnology and physical procedures for the study and identification of hazard and risk arising from xenobiotics and biotechnology products. Graduates will be able to evaluate dossiers of xenobiotics and biotechnology products on the basis of accurate scientific principles and methodological approaches, internationally agreed, in order to provide quantitative safety assessment. Particular attention will be paid to the application of existing regulations (in Europe, USA, etc.), through the development of integrated different areas including legislation, chemistry, toxicology and pharmacology, biotechnology, and risk analysis.
