All in for a Welcoming Community

An update from The Bow Valley Immigration Partnership

You're receiving this email because you asked to learn more about the Bow Valley Immigration Partnership (BVIP). You might have completed our survey or connected with us at an event, or perhaps you reached out to us to ask how you can help.

However you've found us, thank you for connecting.

BVIP is a collaborative community initiative dedicated to improving immigrant integration in the Bow Valley (Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, and western M.D. of Bighorn, and Kananaskis.) Work began with the Town of Banff, Town of Canmore, Canadian Rockies Public Schools, Bow Valley College, the Banff Lake Louise Hotel Motel Association. Now, we're moving forward with additional partners and we'd like your help too.

What's New:

New Partners
Next month, BVIP will meet for the first time as a full council. Joining the expanded group of partners will include representatives of Alberta Health Services, Parks Canada, The Job Resource Centre, the Banff Ministerial Association, and Settlement Services in the Bow Valley.

The Integration Report
We're putting the finishing touches on a report that brings together the results of our surveys & other research. This assessment will help our council identify areas where we can make tangible improvements in integration. Watch for the report to be posted on our website in late October.

Becoming a Community Builder Program
We won't email you often, but please watch for one more email this week about a new community supported free leadership training opportunity.

You shared many interesting comments and ideas during our summer consultation. Starting now, we'll post topics that we'd like to have more answers to. If you missed the survey, have more to say, or want to invite friends to the conversation this is a great way to provide feedback.  Each question will be posted on Facebook for one week, then we'll archive it on our blog where you can comment anonymously.
