ESP Member Meeting

The ESP member meeting on September 22 was very well attended. Thank you for useful feedback and ideas! We will send a report from the meeting to all ESP members soon. Did not manage to join the meeting? Get in touch with your ESP colleagues through the ESP Member Portal

Next ESP World Conference – save the date!

We accepted the kind offer by our Chinese Partners to host the 9th ESP World Conference in China. The conference will most likely take place in Shenzhen, December 2017. Both the date and location might still change, but do mark ‘ESP China November-December” in your agenda! More news to follow soon.
ESP Asia Regional Office officially opened

On September 22nd the ESP Asia Regional Office was officially opened in South Korea, with the generous support from Gyeonggi Province.

The Regional Office will be an important mechanism to make more direct connections between ESP aims and activities, and enable and support the ESP Secretariat. Asian ESP members will receive an invitation to join the official Initiating Member Forum late October (via Skype). For more information, feel free to email Namue Lee.
If you are interested to open a Regional Office in your own region, let us know!

ESP Working Groups, National Networks & Regional Chapters

During last month's Antwerp conference most ESP working groups organized one or more sessions. An important benefit of these recurring meetings is to make progress with the science and practice of specific aspects of the Ecosystem Services concept. If you are still looking for options to publish the work of your working group, make sure to think of submitting a proposal for paper/special issue in one of the ESP supported Journals.

Get involved!
Feel free to join any of the working groups and/or National Networks by sending an email to the current Lead Team and/or to the ESP Secretariat!
ESP FUN FACT #1: Did you know that there is a difference between being an ESP friend and an ESP member?

As an ESP friend you agree with the ESP mission and vision and stay informed via this update. As an ESP member however, you have access to many additional benefits such as being able to join the ESP working groups to collaborate with your colleagues from all over the world, receiving a substantial discount to ESP conference fees, access to the ESP member forum, discounts to several ESP related journals and many more.
