                         Subject:      Commission Updates

Summary:   Several credential leaflets have been updated recently. None of these changes are of any great substance as far as day-to-day practice but you will notice some with additional clarifications to requirements added, some outdated information removed, some leaflets brought up to date to reflect recent changes in regulations (such as with exam validity and the reauthorization of elementary subject matter programs), and others with simple cosmetic changes (correcting grammar, typos, etc.).

One change of note is the revision of Form CL-708, used for Intern Credential recommendations. This form has been made more universal so that it can be used for both preliminary and clear credentials (such as cases when a clear recommendation cannot be completed online). With this change, Form CL-709 is no longer necessary and therefore will be discontinued.

Other leaflets updated for the above stated reasons: CL-561, CL-667 (update to out-of-state chart), CL-697B, CL-871, CL-872, and CL-879.

SEID Lookup: We continue to receive inquiries regarding issues accessing the SEID Lookup. Some are still attempting to enter the SEID Lookup directly through the old link that was published 9 years ago. However, due to system changes here with our databases during the last several months, this link is no longer valid. To enter the SEID Lookup, you must use the link found in the CIG drop down menu under the “Resources” heading.

A Reminder: if you have any of the previous versions of Form 41-NC before the 06/2017 revision date, please remember as noted in the CERT News item dated May 25, 2017 the changes that have been made to the form now require it be physically mailed to the Commission. Faxed name/profile change forms can no longer be accepted.
