Sturgeon Point Civic Weekend Activities

August 3rd to 5th

Saturday


SLSC Sailing Regatta - 9am registration, skipper's meeting 10am

BBQ & Street Dance at the Park - 6pm to 11pm 

  • Hamburgers, hot dogs, pop, juice, water & dessert will be served.
    A reminder not to bring glass items to the park.

    Water Street Clothesline and SLSC will have tables with swag.

      

    There will also be live music by Witzend!

Food Drive collections will be taken at the Sturgeon Point Union Church. Service starts at 10:30am.

Swimming and canoe events at the Water Races at the public dock - 2pm

Sailing Regatta Prize Giving at Rosehill - 6pm
 

Monday

Running & Novelty Races at Swannanoa - 10am. Last chance for the Food Drive.

Sturgeon Point Safety Reminder

Please remember to use plastic containers or cans for your drinks when visiting the Park, Public Beach and Upper Wharf.

Glass containers are easily broken and lead to safety and health hazards for the visitors to these popular Sturgeon Point locations.

Canada Day BBQ Photos Online!

Friends and neighbours gathered to kick off the summer at SPA's Canada Day BBQ.
The Silent Auction Bake Sale was a hit and raised $700 for new bulletin boards. Many thanks to the members of the community who donated baked goods, pitched in to help with the BBQ and to the local merchants like the Little Pie Shack and Highlands Propane for their donations.

Great job by our organizers Darlene Young and Matt Carr and
all the SPA Board for their efforts!
Madison Kozak's fundraiser performance at the Sturgeon Point Union Church raised over $3,000 for the Kawartha Lakes Women’s Resources.

Check out a video clip of Madison and great duet with her Dad and the rest of Sturgeon Point as backup singers.

Thanks again Madison. It was a great performance!
