The Good - Use of Public Lands is now permitted!!!
As Ontario enters Stage 2 of reopening, we are pleased to announce that the Public Beach, Upper Wharf and Park are now open for use!
A couple of important items to note:
Raft at Public Beach - members of the same family can use the raft at the same time, however physical distancing requirements must be observed for all others
Park - Access to the play structure in the Park is still prohibited as sanitation requirements cannot be maintained. With that in mind, the Kid Camp in the Park is also cancelled. All other areas of the Park may be used, providing the physical distancing guidelines are observed.
The Bad - Canada Day BBQ and Civic Weekend Races
With the health and safety of our wonderful community being our primary focus, it is with great sadness that SPA must announce the cancellation of the annual Canada Day BBQ, as we will obviously surpass the current group limits the Province has imposed and physical distancing will be impossible to maintain. We hope to have the go ahead for the Civic Holiday BBQ & Dance and Civic Holiday Races and we'll keep you posted!
The Ugly - There is no ugly! Only Beautification
SPA is continuing it's efforts to improve and beautify the Public Wharf. We have the funds and now we need the people. This is a call for volunteers! Anyone interested in helping with this worthwhile project can contact Darlene at email@example.com
Thank you, in advance!
SPA 2020 Membership
The Membership Registration page is open and ready to receive your registration information and payment! Please go to the membership page to fill out the registration form for all family members 18+.
We would appreciate it if everyone could pay their membership via e-transfer this year. By moving away from cheques, our treasurer doesn’t have to go to the bank so often. There are instructions on how to send the e-transfer on the Membership page.
Please remember that your membership/renewal application is not complete until the Treasurer receives your payment.
As always, we are accepting donations from the community to help with the Association costs. All donations can be made by sending an e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org and noting DONATION in the Message to Recipient part of the transaction. All donations will receive a tax receipt by March of the following year.
We also recognize that there are other causes in more dire need at this time. We encourage you to support one of those organizations that assist those in need during these trying times.
