CHEMICAL HIGHLIGHT

Memstor

Memstor™ safely and effectively prevents microbiological growth within membrane elements and systems during long and short-term storage. It eliminates the need for formaldehyde, sodium metabisulfite and other chemicals that are either hazardous or unstable. Memstor™ is effective long-term and does not create environmental or health risks. Memstor™ is compatible with all membrane types and rinses easily from membranes. A conductivity meter can conveniently monitor the completeness of rinsing to the background conductivity of the rinse water. Memstor™ is packaged as a dry, stable, nonreactive powder for ease of transportation and storage. Check out the infosheet.

THANK YOU

Thank you to all who attended and visited our booth at the Annual SCMA in San Antonio, TX.

“Membranes: Fundamentals, Focuses and Future Endeavors”: August 23-25, 2017

King Lee was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor and exhibitor at this year's SCMA Symposium. We enjoyed seeing you there and had a great time at the ball game!

Thank you to the IWA for a great conference!

Thanks to all that visited us at our poster presentation “Using Data Diagnostic Tools for Plant Operation and Management” in Long Beach. It was a blast to dance with you all at the aquarium. To learn more, see below.

Thank you to our distributors for hosting us while in town for Waterex in Beijing.

WaterEx is a 3 day event held from October 12-14, 2017 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing, China. This event showcases products from the Air & Water Management industry.

WaterEx is the largest international water trade show in Northern China for the fields of water processing, drinking and wastewater, and is co-located with the Membrane Industry Association of China and ECOTECH China.

Session 2: Pretreatment Selection- Antiscalant and Cartridge Filters

Since its foundation in 1977 in San Diego, King Lee Technologies has been the leader in reverse osmosis membrane performance technology. During this webinar series, King Lee Technologies will walk participants through RO system basics, pretreatment, and membrane cleaning along with a brief overview of the equipment. We will present a new cutting-edge system performance diagnostic tool, iWaterPRO™, that helps users stay ahead of problems common to their system. We will discuss potential membrane plant challenges and how to troubleshoot them. To watch the rest of the series email us for links to all 5 videos.

THE MORE YOU KNOW

Normalization!

Watching permeate flowrate, feed pressure, and differential pressures is only the beginning - the normalization process is key to understanding the true health of your RO system. Membrane manufacturers use normalization to evaluate performance, and we do the same.

You could start with the ASTM D 4516 standards to understand the foundation of RO normalization equations, but in a nutshell… normalization factors in many parameters at a given moment as one representative value. So, it allows you to take snapshots of your process, moment by moment, and compare those snapshots easily over time. For example, perhaps your RO system has a permeate setpoint, so it produces consistently – but your feed pressure is increasing over time. Is it because your feed temperature is decreasing or because your feed conductivity is increasing due to upstream process changes? Or are you truly approaching time to clean? Normalization can give you numbers for that question, and we can help you understand what they mean. Contact us or visit iWaterPRO.com to start normalizing.
