Session 2: Pretreatment Selection- Antiscalant and Cartridge Filters

During this webinar series, King Lee Technologies will walk participants through RO system basics, pretreatment, and membrane cleaning along with a brief overview of the equipment. We will present a new cutting-edge system performance diagnostic tool, iWaterPRO™, that helps users stay ahead of problems common to their system. Watching permeate flowrate, feed pressure, and differential pressures is only the beginning - the normalization process is key to understanding the true health of your RO system. Membrane manufacturers use normalization to evaluate performance, and we do the same.

You could start with the ASTM D 4516 standards to understand the foundation of RO normalization equations, but in a nutshell… normalization factors in many parameters at a given moment as one representative value. So, it allows you to take snapshots of your process, moment by moment, and compare those snapshots easily over time. For example, perhaps your RO system has a permeate setpoint, so it produces consistently – but your feed pressure is increasing over time. Is it because your feed temperature is decreasing or because your feed conductivity is increasing due to upstream process changes? Or are you truly approaching time to clean? Normalization can give you numbers for that question, and we can help you understand what they mean. Contact us or visit to start normalizing.
