Dear <<First Name>>,
This is a last call for this training – which may well be the last of its kind that is led by Judith Hemming. The training runs from June 2016 - January 2017.
Judith is an internationally renowned trainer and couples therapist who has worked with both Gestalt and Systemic approaches for many, many years. She has brought her great body of experience, wisdom and insight to the development of this course which is the only training of its kind in the world. She is supported by Chris Williams, a highly experienced UKCP therapist and trainer, and other specialist supporting trainers.
The purpose of this training is to give participants the opportunity to extend their therapeutic practice to include working with couples. It is assumed that participants will already have basic skills in working with individuals, and therefore the course focus is on the shifts and additional skills needed to be of help when working with couples.
The teaching is intended to help therapists ‘see’ and work with systems, including the three interacting systems that are alive in the room when working with couple, and the wider and deeper family systems that surround the couple and often emerge and influence in hidden ways. We will look at the whole process of what supports love and healthy exchange between partners within different complexities of family systems: blended families, cross cultural, same sex relationships, different stages of life and so much more. Theoretically, the training draws on a unique combination of both Gestalt theory as a basic orientation, and the systemic constellation philosophy developed by Bert Hellinger.
The course is run over 4 three-day modules in London – to find out more: CSC - Couples Therapy Training
