Supervision of Peer Workers: Experiences from the Field

SAMHSA invites you to join national leaders in a conversation aboutthe supervision of peer workers. 

Presenters will outline the principles of supervising peer workers and share administrative, educative, and supportive supervisory practices. After a brief overview of supervision of peer workers, presenters will discuss their experiences of supervising peer workers in behavioral health services.

eLearning Course on Integrated Practice

Integrated practice brings together behavioral health, substance use, primary care, and other services into one comprehensive system of care. Research shows that integrated care can result in reduced costs, higher satisfaction, and better outcomes.

Any integrated practice model requires service providers to change the way they think, work, and interact with each other. This eLearning is the resource you need to help your team understand and succeed in integrated practice!

The Recovery to Practice eLearning Course on Integrated Practice provides an overview of how to become an integrated practice team. Learn how to work effectively and improve support to people receiving services and their families. With an entire section dedicated to health literacy, this course will help your team improve communication and frame care around recovery, resiliency, and shared decision-making with the people they serve.

Learners will meet a new integrated practice team and hear about their experiences. Team members include a

  • Peer specialist

  • Housing specialist
