Addressing Substance Use in AIMS Awardee Settings Part 1: Addressing Opioids in Integrated Care

In this webinar, participants will learn to: 
1) Identify the key components of a successful integrated care model to treat persons with opioid use disorders and chronic health conditions in rural health settings, 2) Develop motivational interviewing skills in a primary care setting as it relates to opioid use disorder, 3) Explore mechanisms for training and maintaining substance use disorder treatment staff in rural health center settings.

This webinar reviews the current state of mental health apps in light of evidence-based treatment strategies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and problem-solving therapy that have been translated into app formats.

Understanding the Complex Lives and Needs of People with Co-Occuring Mental Illness and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

Individuals diagnosed with co-occurring intellectual / developmental disability and mental illness have complex needs which can challenge service systems. This webinar will deepen and expand participant's understanding about key issues when providing services to these individuals. The prevalence and impact of trauma will be addressed along with workforce development considerations.
