Friends, Family & Faith Connect at Camp Retreats

Featured below are Carol & Hannah Zartman

My name is Carol Zartman and fortunately, I discovered Camp Hebron about 17 years ago when our son and I came to Moms and Tots Camp during the summer.  We both instantly fell in love with this beautiful God-centered sanctuary.  From the moment I stepped out of the car and was warmly greeted by 5 smiling counselors who helped us in with our bags, I knew this place was going to have an important and lasting impact on our lives.  Read more here.

Hard to say Goodbye

On December 9, 2014 we had to say goodbye to Malachi, our beloved black gelding. The surgery for his cancer was successful, and he was given three chemotherapy treatments.  However a non-related impaction colic was not something he was able to overcome. He was a blessing to many of our riding students and he will be missed. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Why Give?

Mailboxes are flooded this time of year with appeals for giving. Perhaps you’ve seen our letter amidst the masses – and how thankful we are for the many who have responded! With all the worthy causes, why include Camp Hebron in your year-end giving? Three reasons stand out, encouraging my heart to give:

Impact. Simply put, camp works. Young people, inundated with technology and the pressures of school, experience the love of Christ in a new way as camp staff selflessly pour into their lives. The temporary community experienced at camp reflects the principles of Sabbath, providing rest from daily distractions and space to commune with God and others. The works of the Creator, sustained in the natural setting of camp, inspire wonder and reveal truth. “The heavens declare the glory of God.”

Connection. When you give, you shift from observer to partner. You connect with thousands of others who have sustained Camp Hebron for three generations, and with our mission of cultivating a sanctuary. Like volunteering, giving connects you with the cause in a real and tangible way. “…let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Joy. Those who have discovered the joy that comes with giving can attest, “…It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Giving to Camp Hebron is never an obligation. Rather, it is always an opportunity. The chance to be part of a unique and impactful ministry is something to be treasured, and a reason for rejoicing. You can make a difference – what joy!

As 2014 comes to a close, don’t miss out on the chance to make an impact, connect with our mission, and find joy in giving.

With gratitude,

Dustin Musser
Executive Director
