Introducing U. Pour!
U. Pour is an easy, simple way for you to dispense and enjoy draft beer with your downstairs Cellar event from the convenience of the space itself. WIth U. Pour, there's no need to halt a conversation just to refill your glass. You can choose from four different selections on the easy-to-use draft system in the Cellar. All of the selections from the U. Pour system are as lovingly-curated by our staff as the beers upstairs.
How does one use U. Pour? Simply start a tab at the main bar, and a Beerista will hand you a pre-charged card that allows you to pour your own beer from the taps downstairs. Use the card on the intuitive touchscreen system, pour your own brew, and when you're ready to cash out, bring the U. Pour card upstairs. The amount you poured out will be added to your tab, whether it's a few glasses or a few ounces. It's easy to use and lets you keep your party going without needing to constantly run up-and-down the stairs to get refills. Use it with your next party at Beermiscuous!

Tasting Tuesday
Tuesday, May 3, 5:30-8pm
The latest Chicago brewing venture comes from none other than culinary luminary Rick Bayless. After several years of planning and test batches, Tocayo Brewing Company debuted its Hominy White Ale recently, and we have to say it's a beauty. With dry, refreshing finish and a slight hint of spice, it's a perfect pairing with Mexican cuisine, but also with poultry, salads, and fruit desserts. We're happy to let Tocayo share the Tasting Tuesday stage just a couple days before Cinco de Mayo. See you then!

Food Truck!
Wednesday, May 4, 5:30-7:30pm
For our weekly Happy Hour, we're pairing with Bruges Brothers and their incomparable frites. The Brothers told me a couple days ago that they have a new special in the works, based on the Walking Taco concept. I know I can't wait to try it. All their hearty, delectable frites pair wonderfully with half-off beer flights! See you Wednesday!

Thursday, May 5, 7:30-10pm
Here's where we feature the homebrewers in our midst. For this interactive evening, any homebrewer may bring in a brew of theirs to share, speak about what went into the beer, and receive feedback from our guests. It's an encouraging, welcoming atmosphere that's great for both brewers and enthusiasts.
We have limited space for homebrewers, so if you have interest in being on the mic and sharing your beer creation, e-mail soon at chicagolakeview@beermiscuous.com. You'll also need to bring 64 ounces of beer to share (a growler or 6-pack will do just fine).

Beermiscuous CCBW 2016: Belgium in Chicago! Tuesday, May 24, 2016, 5:30-9:30pm
We are elated to announce our Chicago Craft Beer Week event for 2016. Beermiscuous is following Austin's heart into the tastes of Belgium for the most-special of Tasting Tuesdays, May 24, 5:30-9:30pm. Belgian styles will be featured from Penrose, Une Année, Illuminated Brew Works, Old Town Abbey, and Empirical Brewing. Brewery representatives will be on hand to answer questions, and Austin will be talking about the best ways to avoid food poisoning in Brussels.
This is going to be at once a low-key and exciting event, and surely not one to be missed. We look forward to seeing all of you on the 24th of May for CCBW!

BEERISTA PICK: Hop Butcher for the World, Watch for Falling Coconuts, Coconut Pale Ale, 5.5% ABV
The newly-rechristened Hop Butcher (the brewery formerly known as South Loop) is getting us jazzed for summer with a tropical, topical, hop-ical brew that utilizes a tough-to-wrangle ingredient in a beautiful way. As someone who loves the stuff, I am still the first to admit that coconut is a divisive flavor. But, if you're a fan of the way it pairs with (especially) tropical fruit flavors like mango or pineapple, this will be right up your alley.
WfFC pours a super-hazy golden hue with a fluffy white head. The aroma teems with, as you might guess, plenty of tropical fruit from Cashmere and El Dorado hops. The coconut adds a sugary sweetness to the nose that is pleasant in itself. The flavor reminds me of this breakfast I had in Hawai'i during the honeymoon for myself and my spouse. Sure, it was just some pancakes with heaping dose of coconut, pineapple, and a mango-infused syrup, but in the context of the trip and the setting, it was note perfect. If a beer can put you in that place for even a nanosecond, it's doing pretty good.

Hop Butcher, Watch for Falling Coconuts, American Pale Ale with coconut, 5.5% ABV

Pipeworks, Sunburst Peacock, Imperial IPA with guava and honey, 9.5% ABV

Spiteful, Whale Tickler, Imperial IPA with mango, 9.2% ABV

Metropolitan, Arc Welder, Dunkel Rye Lager, 5.5% ABV

Stone, Arrogant Bastard Ale (in tallboys!), American Strong Ale, 7.2% ABV

Spiteful, God Damn Caramel Pecan Pigeon Porter, Imperial Porter with caramel and pecan, 8.2% ABV
