EiE Nigeria Weekly Update

Friday, February 3, 2017

“The future of this vast country must depend, in the main, on the
efforts of ourselves to help ourselves.”

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (First Prime Minister of Nigeria)

#OneVoiceNigeria

On Tuesday, January 31st, 2Baba shared on Facebook live that “the people have hoped for a better Nigeria since 1999 but things are not getting any better for the majority.  We are still where we are – poor and desperate. I will no longer be quiet.”

In collaboration with EiE, the 2Face Foundation is organising a protest on Monday, February 6th to make demands for adequate security, quality education, uninterrupted power supply, affordable health care, employment opportunities, social justice and transparency in governance.
Share your stories by sending an SMS to 09023555335 or post a short video online tagging @the2facefoundation.

Emefiele Must Go!

EiE, BudgIT and 14 entrepreneurs have written an open letter to the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, demanding for his resignation. This is due to CBN’s foreign exchange policies which have grossly affected the growth of industries and the economy at large.
