2018 Supplier Showcase
The Supplier Showcase is upon us! This year’s event will take place Thursday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Great Hall at Coffman Union.
All your favorite U Market suppliers will be on hand to discuss their products, and we'll have games you can play to win free prizes. Plus, there's always a free boxed lunch!

What is your job title, and how does your
work involve U Market?
I’m the Principal Office and Administrative Support Assistant for the St. Paul Administrative Support Cluster.
As part of my job, I manage the purchasing for two departments within the College of Biological Sciences and for the BioTechnology Institute. In total, I help purchase supplies for 75-100 labs.
What type of items do you order on U Market?
I order everything from small stuff like test tubes and
petri dishes to big equipment like centrifuges and freezers. Basically anything a lab could use, I buy it
on U Market.
Why is U Market a good place to order supplies?
The selection is really great—I can find pretty much find anything I need. Also, the prices are really good, which is really important since we're usually on a budget and only have so much funding.
How do you see your position supporting the mission of the University?
The main thing I do is support the labs so they can spend more time researching and teaching. Everyone’s happy when they don’t have to spend hours online shopping.
U Market is pretty critical in keeping labs going so they can do innovative research.
