This year's U Market Supplier Showcase will be held on Tuesday, September 13 from 10 am until 2 pm in the Great Hall of Coffman Memorial Union.
Visit your favorite suppliers and discover new ones. Grab a free lunch (with registration) from the “U Market Café." Stop by the U Market Solutions Center, where staff will be available to answer your questions. Complete an attendee survey for a chance to win one of three Hewlett-Packard color laser fax/scanner/printers.
We hope you can join us for this fun, informative event!
After a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process, U Market awarded Matheson Gas the gas contract for the Twin Cities campus and Praxair the contract for outstate campus locations. As a result of the competitive process the cost of gas and cylinder rent will decrease for most gases.
The new rental rate is 13 cents per day for most cylinders covered under this contract. There are a few cylinders obtained under a contract that ended in 2011 that will remain at a higher rate. Please return these cylinders so that your department will begin saving on rental fees under our new contract!

Q: Why are the cleaning and kitchen supplies no longer available to order through Innovative?
A: Many of these items are available to purchase from U Market stock. If you have trouble searching for an item please contact the Customer Service Team at 612-624-4878.
DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT U MARKET?
Send it to U Market Services. Each month we'll draw one name from the submissions and the winner will receive a U Market Services mug.

Linda Woock
Linda Woock is the Strategic Sourcing Program Manager in Purchasing Services and one of the "hats" she wears is the supplier enablement coordinator for U Market. Once a supplier has gone through the vetting process, she works with the supplier and our U Market team members to coordinate the many steps involved in making a supplier available through U Market.
"There are so many parties involved and variations in technology that each supplier enablement is a surprisingly unique experience."
