Changed Lives Changing Lives!

VBS for the Marikaj neighborhood is happening as I type this newsletter in our Hope Center for Teens!  Last night they had 70 children, and several accept Christ as their Savior!  It is so exciting for me to see what is happening here at the Hope Center.  On my  first mission trip to Albania, I witnessed a great need for HFTW teens to have a place where they could further their relationship with Christ.  After years of our HFTW directors, Roger and Cherie Mullins, seeking God, finding the center, remodeling so that it was livable by our teens, raising the thousands needed to buy and remodel the center, that dream has not only become a reality, but is thriving under the great care of our HFTW workers!  100% of the kids that have come through the Hope Center have come to know Christ as their Savior, and have furthered their education.
What I am absolutely esctatic about, is, the teens in the pictures above, they are our Hope Center teens that are now reaching out in their community, and helping to change lives in their own communities.  Thank you to all who have continued your support through the years.  You are the hands on Love of Christ to these kids!!

A Note from Buddy and Kerri

The Hope for the World Foundation is celebrating its One Year Anniversary as an official 501C3 organization.  Hope for the World Missions has been ongoing for 21+ years, but the Foundation was set up to raise funds for our missionaries who have been the HEROES in the field working for all those years.  We are on our way, but we have so much to accomplish before the year 2016 ends.  We have 2 major fundraisers scheduled for September and October!  We need to raise a lot of money this year.  PLEASE PRAY FOR US!  The Burden for helping our missionaries and the job of fundraising is huge!  Pray for daily passion and energy,
ALSO...We are leaving for Honduras next Wednesday the 15th, pray that we can help change lives and for just safety in traveling.

"Where I came from, they were murderers of people I knew"
Buddy and I were eating dinner with our girls last night at a local restaurant.  Our waiter heard Victoria say that next summer, she would like to go to Romania.  He was from the very city where HFTW is working with the Romanian gypsies in Silvania.  He said in broken english, "that is very good you are working with the gypsies, it is very hard for me because they were murderers of people I knew."  Bogdan, one of the missionaries we work with in Romania, explained to us that in years past, we could not have even come close to a gypsy village because they would have come after us with violence.  But Tony and his family have been working with the gypsies now for 20+ years and have helped so many come to Christ.  Bogdan said this, "There are government programs, but they are not enough.  Only through finding Jesus, do they realize what they need to do to provide for their families."
Tony and his family are getting ready to head back to Romania for Camp Joy where they take in the gypsy children, love on them, and teach them about Jesus.  Please Pray for them.

Hope English School: UKRAINE
April 18-23, Hope for the World organized HOPE English School in partnership with Annunciation Baptist Church in Kremenets, Ukraine. Nine teachers came from Iowa and one from Colorado to teach conversational English. Over 200 unsaved students attended the 6 day conversational course. The American team shared about Christ in their classes and in individual conversations with the students.

Here is the testimony from one of our team members.

My husband and I were priviledged to go to Ukraine this year and teach at HOPE English school in Kremenets. What a wonderful and eye-opening time we had! The students were so eager to learn and get to know us. Even though we could not speak their language, we could feel their hearts yearning for more as they gathered around us to hear what we had to say. Ukraine is a place of much religious oppression and loss from past wars.  Each time I asked if I could pray for the students they eagerly answered in the affirmative! Many raised their hands to accept Christ. On the last day of school, I asked one young lady, Natasha, if she considered accepting Jesus Christ. She said, “I just can’t believe that it can be true. I hope you still accept me.” Please pray for Natasha that she will listen to the Holy Spirit's drawing her to Himself. And not only her but ALL who came to the school! We would highly recommend anyone who loves people to go and help teach!

Three team members visited a local university in the mornings. The professors were so thankful that they took the time to come and help them because they have so little opportunity to speak with native speakers. They invited the students to HOPE English School at the church and many came!
