"Dear friends and supporters of SS Robin,

Please accept our sincere apologies for the very late arrival of this October 2018 newsletter and the one for February 2018 which was just sent to you beforehand. This was as a result of IT issues at the time which have only just been discovered, so as far as we can tell these newsletters were never sent out.

The current one for September 2019 is on time, up to date and will follow shortly!

Thank you for your patience!

With kind regards,
the SS Robin Team.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Since our last post the Trust has worked extensively with Lea Valley Parks Authority to explore the proposal for displaying the SS Robin ashore on land at their historic East India Dock Basin site.

The Trust employed structural engineers and architects in generating these plans and was successful in obtaining full planning permission and support from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Sadly the Lea Valley Parks Authority have since decided not to grant permission for a lease after considerable expense, time and outlay spent by Trust and this proposal has therefore been reluctantly closed down.

We are actively considering alternative options for displaying SS Robin so that she can remain in London and will let you know of developments as they progress.
