As always we have lots of news to share with you!   We have been very busy developing new courses and continuing to offer our very popular online course and workshop offerings for Internationally Educated Physical Therapists.  
 

Neuromusculoskeletal Physical Therapy: Canadian Practice Hybrid Course


Are you looking for opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills, prepare for the physiotherapy competency exam (PCE), or further your career opportunities in physical therapy (PT) practice?
 
The Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging (OIEPB) Program at the University of Toronto is offering two hybrid courses in Neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) PT in fall 2015:

Hybrid courses are offered via a mix of online learning opportunities and on-site participation in workshops.  In this practice area, the OIEPB Program offers two courses: NMSK PT: Focus on Peripheral Joints and NMSK PT: Focus on the Spine.

NMSK Physical Therapy: Focus on Peripheral Joints 
 
October 5 –
November 1, 2015
 
  • 4 weeks of interactive online learning
  • 1 hands-on on-site weekend workshop
 
      Application Deadline: Monday, September 14, 2015
      Early Bird Deadline: Monday, August 31, 2015
 
NMSK Physical Therapy: Focus on the Spine
 
November 16 –
December 13, 2015
 
  • 4 weeks online learning with interactive discussion
  • 1 hands-on on-site weekend workshop
 
      Application Deadline: Monday, October 26, 2015
      Early Bird Deadline: Tuesday, October 13, 2015
 

These two hybrid courses will together provide a comprehensive, accessible refresher for those physical therapists interested in entering or returning to the neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) practice setting.

The two courses are linked, but can be taken independent of each other.

MCQ & OSCE Exam Skills Preparation 
ESP  Workshops

 

  • MCQ ESP upcoming workshop will be held on Sunday, November  1, 2015

  • OSCE ESP workshop format has changed! We are now offering this workshop in two parts, OSCE A and OSCE B:


    OSCE A: Preparation and Practice

    Saturday, September 26, 2015 (full day)
    This workshop assists participants in identifying a study plan, study strategies, and knowledge or skills that are required for successful completion of an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) such as the Clinical Component of the Physiotherapy Competency Exam.
     

    OSCE B: Practice Exam

    Sunday, October 24, 2015 (morning or afternoon session)
    This half-day OSCE workshop provides the opportunity to cycle through multiple formal OSCE stations, both written and practical, with standardized patients and skilled clinicians as examiners. This workshop will build on the skills learned in OSCE A: Preparation and Practice, but can be taken without completing OSCE Part A.

Comprehensive OIEPB Bridging Program
Class of 2016/2017

We are very excited to announce that we are accepting applications for our 5th cohort of the Comprehensive OIEPB Bridging Program!  

If you are interested in joining the OIEPB family for our 10 month program starting April 2016 you can apply now.  All of the information that you will need such as:
