Comprehensive OIEPB Bridging Program

We are now accepting applications for our Comprehensive Bridging Program  
If you are an internationally educated physiotherapist and are interested in joining the 10-month Comprehensive Bridging Program starting in April 2015 you should apply now.

The information sessions are a wonderful opportunity to learn more information, ask questions, and to meet the OIEPB program faculty, staff and former OIEPB Program students.  Register here   

Online Application Process

The first step to applying for the OIEPB program is completing the online application form.   

Before you fill out the online application form please gather the following:
  • Proof of Ontario residency 
  • Proof of Canadian status
  • Language requirement (see important information below) 
  • Current resume
  • Credit card to make the $100 application fee payment

Admission Assessment

Admission Assessments will be held on February 20 & 21  

The Admission Assessment is a mandatory part of the application process for the OIEPB comprehensive program.  If you would like to join the OIEPB program you must first attend one of our assessment dates.  

Please note that these dates are the only opportunity to be assessed for the program, if you are considering applying for the program make sure you are available during this time period.  

The Admission Assessment is a competency-based assessment designed to assess your current physical therapy knowledge, clinical reasoning, physical therapy practice skills and practice readiness. 

The Admission Assessment is a full day that consists of 4 parts:
  • Practical Assessment (OSCE) 
  • Multiple Choice Question exam (MCQ) 
  • Mini Multiple Interviews (MMI) 
  • Written Assessment
Program staff will use the Admission Assessment results to determine if your learning needs can be addressed through the Comprehensive Bridging Program.

Language Requirement

IMPORTANT: Please read this carefully  

The language requirement is a mandatory component of the application process.  You must submit either an IELTS Academic or TOEFL test score that meets our minimum requirements in order to gain entry to the program. These are the only two acceptable language tests. Please visit our website to see minimum language requirements

If you do not already have the language requirement you must be registered for the test date BEFORE February 20, 2015. If you need to register for a IELTS or TOEFL please do so as soon as possible as the testing centers usually book about 6 weeks in advance.  

You will be exempt from the language requirement only if you were educated in a predominantly English speaking country (i.e. UK, USA, New Zeland, etc). 
We will consider expired IELTS (AC) or TOEFL test scores to meet the language requirement

Hybrid Refresher Course: Online and On-site

 Neurological PT: Canadian Practice
Are you looking for opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills or further your career opportunities in physical therapy practice? Our hybrid courses offer a mix of online and on-site learning to fit your busy schedule and provide hands-on skill practice and solid clinical reasoning. Fee for course: $1000 **Early registration rate: $950

These hybrid courses (consisting of both online and on-site components) will provide a comprehensive, accessible refresher for clinicians interested in entering or returning to the Neurological PT practice setting. At course completion, participants will be more confident in their skills, more competitive applicants for jobs in the respective fields, and be stronger contributors to the workplace.
