An Orange County Superior Court jury has awarded more than $7.4 million to a mother who was seriously injured and whose 3-year-old daughter was killed in a February 2012 incident that authorities say was a hit and run.
The jurors in the civil case ruled against the driver for being negligent, but also found the County of Orange shared liability because of the dangerous conditions of the crosswalk in an unincorporated area just outside Anaheim, said Richard E. Donahoo, who represented the mother.

The Wrongful Death and Day-in-the-Life video produced by MotionLit for Richard Donahoo, Donahoo & Associates, clearly told the story of liability, which effectively presented the negligence of the city, the driver, and portrayed the tragic loss. MotionLit filmed the subject mother, her friends and family who poured their hearts out relaying the major impact inflicted on loved ones and the entire community. Also included in the video was a thoroughly filmed Day-in-the-Life video that showed the full extent of the mothers physical injuries as a result of being hit by the speeding truck.
