A Personal Note From Tema

I don't know about you, but my New Year's Resolutions are usually in the dust by now. So one thing I love about Lunar New Year is that it gives me a 2nd chance. How are yours going?

Here are some I'm working on, and I'd value your thoughts:

New Website

Here's a screenshot from the new Frank Reactions home page. I'd love your feedback on the site!
It is way past time to update the website. For the moment, with the help of the good folks at Microtek, we've started the redesign. When the new one went live, it resent you a list of all the old posts. Sorry about that!

But I need your help: What do you think of it?

My goal is to re-position the site to focus on what I what I want to be doing more of:
  • paid speaking and
  • some types of paid consulting (specifically, customer experience-related research and executive coaching/mentoring).
Frank Reactions provides REAL reactions to organizations about their customers' point of view and how to profit by serving them better.

New Podcast Approach

I haven't figured this one out yet. Fans love the depth of the questions in the Frank Reactions Podcast on Customer Experience, but the listener numbers aren't growing.

Something has to change, but I'm not sure what, or how. What do you think should change?

Tema Frank speaks about the 3Ps of Profit in the Digital Era: Promise, People & Process. All lead to better customer experience!

New Business Focus

What do you love doing the most?

For me, it is:
  1. Speaking
  2. New Ideas: researching & writing about them.
  3. Helping business leaders improve customer experience and lower their personal stress levels. (Using those new ideas from point 2.)
  4. Travel (more on that below).
Since I'll be travelling a lot over the next year and a half, long-term consulting engagements aren't ideal, but shorter projects are.
I'll be travelling pretty constantly from May 2018 to Aug 2019. Looking forward to comparative customer experience research!

New Countries & Cities (Travel)

Some of you know that I'm married to a professor. One of the great perks of his work is that every 7+ years he gets to spend one year working abroad.

When we married, I became self-employed so that I'd be free to travel with him. (No way does he get to spend a year in Paris without me!)

Soon we'll be heading off for another journey.
The travel schedule at the moment is:
  • May - early June 2018 - Mostly in Vancouver. I'll also be going to the CXPA Insight Exchange in New Orleans
  • Mid- to end of June - Speaking at a conference in Vegas and attending one my husband's speaking at in Boulder, CO
  • Early July - Holiday time in Stockholm, Sweden!
  • Mid-July - mid-October, 2018 - London, UK
  • mid-Oct to early Nov, 2018 - Argentina
  • mid-Nov, 2018, to late Feb, 2019 - Lima, Peru
  • March to May 2019 - Vancouver, Canada
  • June - Aug 2019 - possibly France or Austraila.
If you know of people I should meet and/or speaking, teaching or consulting opportunities in any of those places, I'd be honored if you'd make an introduction. For ease of reference, here's my email address:, and my LinkedIn profile:

What do you want to change this year?

Let me know if there's any way I can help you with that.
