Best Strategy

In 2nd Samuel 5 there is a story of how David defeated the Philistines.
We know David to be a good warrior, fearless and seasoned by battles. Nevertheless, he inquired of the Lord whether he should go against the enemy. He did that twice, even after the first victory according to God's word.
The second time God explained what exactly David was supposed to do: "go round to their rear..." And David "did as the Lord commanded" and won again.

Exact fulfillment of God's will leads to victory. We can invent our own strategies. But God is the ultimate strategist.

This is our new year resolution - to listen to God and obey Him. This is the best way to be effective and fruitful.

2020 Youth Conference

As we look back remembering what we had to go through these past 18 months we praise God. The first conference was held two years ago. Good fruit, praise reports, hope for the future. But we had to cancel last year.
This year God allowed us to do another one. Wow!

135 young people from more than 20 Russian towns from all across the country came to learn more about God, spend time in the Word, prayer, worship and fellowship. The topic was: Fight a good fight of faith.

2020 Youth Conference

It was such a blessing to not only be around the participants, but to hear their stories, insights, prayer requests, testimonies and aspirations for the future.
We ask you to be praying for the lasting fruit in the hearts of the youth. Please pray that their local youth groups grow.
Some churches have very few young people. But many testified that in the last year one, two, four people came and joined. May God be glorified!
We had a wonderful start of the year.

Besides the conference that went so smoothly that it is hard to believe it, we visited a few churches and friends. It was a blessed time of fellowship and ministry together.

Sveta and I are praying about our next steps in life and ministry. Please join these prayers.

So far there are a couple of specifics to lift up:

1. This Sunday we will visit a home for elderly people. There are 99 old people and only 20 are able to walk. We will mostly spend time with the 20, but eventually we pray about trying to visit them all somehow.
2. Sveta will participate in CC Women's Conference
3. We hope to have a small hang out for the youth in one of the cities in the country some time in February as a follow-up for the conference. We hope to invite a few groups from neighboring towns as well.

Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support.
Our greetings to you from unsnowy Moscow! Love you all!
