The event will be a meeting point for policymakers, arts and cultural practitioners, and health and wellness experts to discuss the reports findings and current policies!
We are glad to share that we have been granted small-scale project funding to support the emergence of creative cross-innovations in the Northern Dimension region. The project will be implemented until 12/2023 and consists of two elements: (1) practical pilot and method development “Creative Residency for Sustainability” and its evaluation tool and (2) small-scale benchmarking process of creative cross-innovations in a global context.
Also, last week, together with Subtopia and Fabryka Sztuki, we were excited to visit Helsinki and take part in the very first in-person partner meeting of the ”Creative Insight as a Service” project (funded by Svenska institutet). Stay tuned to find out more about the project!
The NDPC is also glad to be among the partner organisations in the new social resilience project “BSR Cultural Pearls”, which was recently accepted for funding by the Interreg Baltic Sea programme.
A CBSS project proposal, BSR Cultural Pearls, has been approved for funding by theInterreg Baltic Sea programme. The project, which officially starts in 2023 and runs for a period of three years, will focus on increasing the social resilience of smaller cities and regions.
We are still in awe from the three days of the Culture and Well-being Forum that took place last week in Cluj-Napoca, Romania!
We were glad to co-organise the first day ideathon, where culture and health sector experts, researchers, local, regional and EU-level policy makers and pracititoneers tested policy recommendations on how to address global health and social challenges more effectively by harnessing the power of culture to create solutions.
The ideathon was followed by two days of public conference sessions. Together, we searched for an answer to the common question "How to programme cultural initiatives for health and well-being?"
If you are also interested in the untapped potentials of arts and health interventions in the current turbulent global context, we highly recommend you to look into "Arts and Health: Supporting the Mental Well-Being of Forcibly Displaced People" report that was recently published by World Health Organisation (and initiated by the #CultureForHealth project).
This year we have gathered experts and practitioners to create visions of the future for the Creative and Cultural industries. What are the current trends and tensions and what is the "Imagination Gap"? Please check out this futures article and the video clip from the keynote speech by futurist, artist Roope Mokka.
