Baltic Sea Cultural Cities project workshop
 
✔️ The mapping study on cultural and creative industries cooperation and innovation in the Northern Dimension countries has been launched under the umbrella of NDPC, and it will run until January 2021. The project aims to identify the degree of cross-sectoral cooperation and innovation taking place between the CCIs and other social and economic sectors.

✔️ The first regional Nordic-Baltic Creative Industries incubator meeting was held at the end of November 2019 in Helsinki within the NDPC's supported project “Creating New Practices of Sustainability- Cross-sectorial creativity in the era of climate change”.

✔️ The first NDPC Informal Board of Experts meeting took place in December 2019 in Riga. The experts will contribute to NDPC strategic and project development and be available for professional help and exchange.
 
Upcoming events
 
✔️ Pop-Up Office 4-day workshops will be organized this spring in Latvia. The event developed by Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft together with NDPC as an organizer, will bring together fellow innovative minds from various sectors and countries, exploring urging questions around collaboration, cooperation and new ways of working. The applications for the workshops will be launched on 25 March. Follow the news from us to register!

Creating new practices of sustainability

Funding
 
✔️ Mobility funding is available through the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture. It is intended for the travel and/or stay of professional artists or cultural workers within Nordic and/or Baltic countries. Apply till 3 April.

✔️ The Nordic Council of Ministers has launched the funding opportunity for Nordic-Russian cooperation and networking projects. The call is open until 27 March.
 

✔️ NDPC became an associated partner in the Baltic Cultural Cities project and took part in the project workshop in Kaunas.

✔️ 10th PA Culture strategic project development workshop in which NDPC also took part was held in January 2020 in Warsaw. It was devoted to financial aspects of cultural engagement in the Baltic Sea Region.

✔️ NDPC supported the Future Food hackathon, held in February 2020 in Riga. Promising ideas on food waste, circular shift, new food and digitalization were developed. NDPC also funded the live recording of the podcast on designing food for a post-agriculture age, created by Analisa Winther from Nordic FoodTech.

✔️ World-class business consultant and publisher Tuija Seippel visited Riga with the support of NDPC to participate in the TechChill conference and the Creative industries incubator meet-up. An article about her experience and views is going to be published soon.

10th PA Culture workshop
 

✔️ The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region 11th Annual Forum “Our Region, Our Future – Towards a Decade of Innovation and Sustainability” will be organised in Turku, Finland on 16–17 June, 2020.
 
✔️ The 11th Northern Dimension Forum ''CONNECTIVITY. NOW – boosting flows of people, information, energy, goods and services'', planned to be held on 2 April, 2020, in Saint Petersburg, has been cancelled due to COVID-2019 concern.

✔️ Expedition ''Environmental Sustainability: Exploration into Possible Futures'' will be organized on 5-10 June, 2020 within the NDPC's supported project ''Creating new practices of sustainability''. The group of scientists and artists will explore contemporary challenges raising from environmental and climatic changes during the research trip from Rovaniemi to Murmansk.
