We are aware whilst following government guidance on social distancing, Lancashire Registration Services has sent out communications advising that all weddings up until the end of August have been cancelled.  We know that this will have had a huge impact on the sector financially as well as in terms of staffing to manage these cancellations and re-bookings when many staff may already have been furloughed.
 
We are in the process of compiling data measuring this impact to allow us to formulate a robust case and lobby on the industry’s behalf for some flex in the furlough rules for businesses for whom the parameters of operation keep changing.
