Innovations in Oversight

Cities’ Proactive Approaches to Fighting Corruption

In our newest CAPI issue brief, we recap insights shared by anti-corruption practitioners during the "Innovations in Oversight" panel at our Global Cities II conference in June. During this panel, leaders from newly established oversight agencies in Melbourne, New York, and Montréal discussed strategies for maintaining agency independence, establishing policies, and engaging with the public. Our brief details each panelist's perspective and commonalities among the panelists, as well as the results of a subsequent breakout session in which delegates explored oversight challenges and brainstormed best practices.
