Family Fun Night is This Friday, RAIN OR SHINE!
A bit of rain won't stop us!  In the event of rainy weather, Family Fun Night activities will move indoors.    That includes ALL our planned activities:  obstacle course from Warrior Tech, bounce houses, music, face painting, games, activities from the YMCA, and our sponsors Bovenizer & Baker will have a putt putt station. Potbelly Sandwich Shop will be selling concessions, so you can have dinner while you're here. Admission is FREE, 5:00-8:00 pm this Friday, May 18th.

Volunteer Opportunities for 2017-2018
Thinking about becoming more involved in school activities next year?  Whether you're thinking about playing a big role or want to keep it more low-key, there's something for everyone and we can accommodate a variety of schedules.  The PTA tackles a lot each year with student activities/programs, fundraisers and family events, and we rely on parent support to make it all happen!  You don't have to be a member of the PTA to serve on a committee, and no special skills are required, just your enthusiasm!  It's easy, plus it's a great way to get together with other parents and will help you be in the know with what's going on at school.  Below is a list of things we need help with to get the upcoming year started.  If you'd like to help out, or would like more information on what would be involved, please reach out to us at
  • Kindergarten Parent Breakfasts
  • Membership Drive
  • Go Play Save Fundraiser
  • Yearbook Committee
  • Teacher Luncheons
P.S. -- You do NOT have to be a stay-at-home parent to volunteer with the PTA or help out on a committee.  We are fortunate to have a lot of working parents participating in PTA activities.  Let us know what your availability is and we'll help match you up with a volunteer opportunity that works for you!

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week for Track 3 is May 21-24.  This is a great time for students and parents to show extra gratitude to our teachers and staff.  To help you organize, below are some suggestions for each day.  Participation is optional and you can pick and choose which days you take part in.  The most important part of Teacher Appreciation Week is to simply express to these hard working folks how much we appreciate them and value everything they do for our children!  Feel free to show your gratitude in any way you like!  To view the specials/support staff assignments by class, click here.

Yearbook Committee, 2018-2019
We're currently working to put together next year's Yearbook team.  The yearbook is done completely by parent volunteers.  Without our yearbook committee, there is no yearbook!  If you'd like to consider co-chairing or joining the committee, please give us a shout and we can provide you with more information:
Our final PTA General Membership Meeting of the year will be Friday, May 17th at 6:00 pm (just before the Chorus Concert begins).  Please join us as we will be electing our Board Officers for the next school year, as well as voting to approve the 2018-19 PTA Budget.  We'd also love to share with you updates on everything we've done this year, as well as let you know about new volunteer opportunities for next year's activities.  The slate for 2018-2019 PTA Officers is as follows:
President:  Mark Dixon
Vice President:  Bekah Lu
Secretary:  Joe Nicke, Jr.
Treasurer:  Wendy Chen

Nominations from the floor will be open so that anyone from the PTA membership can nominate themselves or someone else during this meeting.  If there are 2 or more nominations for a position, there will be a vote by ballot.  If there are no nominations from the floor, there will be a vote by voice.

Thank you to Adam Short For chairing our Carpenter Run Club.  This is one of our most popular student programs, and Adam does a great job keeping the kids motivated and coming back week after week.  Thanks Adam for spending your Friday mornings with us!!!
